XP Upgreen wins major European Methane Emission Monitoring and Reporting Contract

Bucharest, Romania, 3 September 2024 – XP Upgreen, a leading provider of comprehensive strategies and solutions for reducing the carbon footprint of Oil and Gas upstream operators, today announces it has been awarded the Methane Emissions Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) service contract for four major assets in Romania for one of the largest Oil & Gas producers in Southeastern Europe.

Under this contract, XP Upgreen will annually measure and report all methane emissions in compliance with the new EU Methane Regulation. This includes emissions from a large number of facilities, active wells and pipelines, and inactive wells, over the next three to five years. This service will enable our partner to meet the new EU Regulation on Methane Emissions Reduction in the Energy Sector and advance its decarbonization and sustainable development goals.
